CONGRATULATORY MESSAGE
– Professor Kaye Chon, Ph.D.
On behalf of the School of Hotel and Tourism Management (SHTM) at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, I am delighted to extend my heartiest congratulations to the Consortium for Global Sustainability and Prince of Songkla University on holding the 2025 Global ESG Conference in the beautiful city of Phuket, Thailand.
Following the success of last year’s conference held in Jeju, Korea, the 2025 conference covers a wide range of critical ESG themes, from aligning sustainability with financial goals to addressing climate change impacts as well as navigating corporate responsibility and sustainable development. With an aim to mapping out innovative strategies and taking a step forward for a sustainable future, the conference provides an exceptional platform on which policy makers, businesses and academia are brought together to foster multi-layered collaborations for a noble cause.
A wonderful programme has been put together for our delegates from around the world. You will find keynote sessions and panel discussions with industry pioneers and leading scholars speaking on their visions of a future where businesses of all sizes prioritise sustainability and act responsibly. The highly anticipated Collegiate ESG Idea Challenge offers hospitality and tourism students an excellent opportunity to share their perspectives and showcase their talents as future leaders in the field.
As global awareness of the importance of sustainable development intensifies, and the fact that ESG issues are directly impacting our lives, our communities and our planet, there is a genuine need for continuous research and sharing of sustainable values across all sectors around the world. The SHTM is privileged to be a steadfast supporter of this meaningful event.
Ladies and gentlemen, the conference is a call for action to tackle the imminent sustainability challenges confronting humankind. I am confident that, with our concerted efforts, we can work together to really make a difference and create a world of sustainable practices. May I wish you all a rewarding event and the 2025 conference a resounding success.
