HALF GRANTS FOR ASSISTANT RESEARCHERS (MBA)

(General Applicant)

Be a new student meeting all requirements of the Master of Business Administration Program: Hospitality and Tourism Management (International Program) of the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism.
Achieve a minimum total grade point average (GPAX) of 3.00 in his/her bachelor program.
Achieve 520 TOEFL test score and academic level 6 of IELTS or equivalent (a certificate of English language proficiency issued by the Master of Business Administration Program will not be considered).
Have a 1,000 word-long research proposal from the list of designated research clusters, and.
Not receive other funds while studying, unless have obtained permission from the research fund committee, and.
Have other qualifications required by the curriculum committee.

A grant holder must:

choose the Kor.1 or Kor.2 study plan, and
conduct one research study (thesis) based on the thesis advisor's suggestion, and.
write at least two academic or research articles under the following conditions:
- publication of one article in an academic journal approved by the Program Committee, in which the grant holder must be listed as the first author and the thesis advisor must be listed as the corresponding author. In the case of a co-advisor, the co-advisor must have made a significant intellectual contribution, and.
- The thesis advisor and co-advisor must collectively contribute no less than 50% of the intellectual input in the publication specified in 5.3.1, as agreed upon among the parties involved, and.
meet the thesis advisor at least twice a month, and
ready to work as teacher assistant or research assistant requested by faculty.
register in subjects as specified in the curriculum, and must not withdraw any subject unless have obtained a permission from the research fund committee, and.
have a minimum total grade point average (GPAX) of 3.50 in all semesters, and.
understand that the role of the thesis advisor is to sign a research fund contract, supervise, give advice, and monitor progress of his/her advisee's thesis and academic or research articles, and.
co-sign a contract with the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism using the form provided, and.
report progress every semester, and.
graduate within the timeframe specified by the Master of Business Administration Program, otherwise the grant holder is allowed to request no Longer than 2 semester extensions, and he/she must be responsible for a fee paid to maintain student status and other expenses.
comply with agreements 5.1-5.11, not break the contract, nor fail to report thesis progress, otherwise the faculty can terminate his/her fund, and he/she must be responsible for the tuition fees.
allow the thesis advisor to claim rights to the thesis in case of fund suspension /termination.
any procedures not stated in this announcement or not stated comprehensively will be at the discretion of the research fund committee.
a contract is to be effective from the date the contract is signed by the grant holder.
