The Doctor of Philosophy Programme in Integrated Hospitality and Tourism Management (International Programme) or Ph.D. HTM, under the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism, Prince of Songkla University Phuket Campus, organised the Thesis Workshop for Semester 1/2025 on 14 December 2025, at Veranda Resort Phuket, with the aim of enhancing the quality and academic rigour of doctoral research.
The workshop provided a structured academic platform for Ph.D. HTM students to present their thesis proposals and research plans, while receiving constructive scholarly feedback from their academic supervisors and programme faculty members. This initiative was designed to systematically strengthen research quality and ensure that doctoral theses meet internationally recognised academic standards.
The Thesis Workshop was held specifically for doctoral students enrolled in the Ph.D. HTM programme, with active participation from academic supervisors and faculty members, who engaged in close academic consultation and knowledge exchange. Through this process, students were supported in refining their research concepts, theoretical frameworks, research methodologies, and overall thesis direction, ensuring alignment with contemporary issues in integrated hospitality and tourism management.
The Thesis Workshop for Semester 1/2025 plays a key role in fostering deep learning, strengthening students’ understanding of doctoral-level research processes, and supporting the development of research outputs with both academic and practical value. Ultimately, the initiative contributes to the creation of new knowledge and supports the advancement of the hospitality and tourism discipline at an international level.
