* Not a student who has already got a tuition fee waiving scholarship

1. Available only for the new student cohort of Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism, PSU Phuket, in the academic year 2024, who meet the qualifications.

2. Students who are receiving the scholarship are required to contribute the faculty's activities or as assigned at least 20 hours per semester, except the semester where students are doing an internship, or participating study abroad, or joining a management training program.

3. Students who are receiving the scholarship must maintain a grade point average not less than 2.50 in each semester, effective from semester 1/2024 onwards.

4. In the case that the faculty acknowledges that the information was incorrect or obscured, the student must return all scholarships received and will be restricted for other scholarships in the future.

5. In the case that there is an extraordinary occurrence, the academic committee of the faculty reserves the right to decide.

4-year tuition fee waiving

Being eligible for the TCAS admission of the FHT curriculum in the academic year 2022
Having an online platform for earning such as YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, websites, or other online channels
Having creativity and prompt to support the activities of faculty and university.
Have no severe symptoms which could be an obstacle in studying.
Showing good behavior, attitudes, and social responsibility

1. Available only for the new student cohort of Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism, PSU Phuket, in the academic year 2022, who meet the qualifications.

2. In the case that the student changes to other faculties, the scholarship will be forfeited.

3. In the case that the student changes the curriculum within FHT, the period of the scholarship will be tallied continuously.

4. In the case that the faculty acknowledges that the information was incorrect or obscured, the student must return all scholarships received and will be restricted for other scholarships in the future.

5. In the case that the student lack any qualification, the faculty committee reserves the right to forfeit the scholarship, and the decision is final.

6. In the case that there is an extraordinary occurrence, the faculty committee reserves the right to decide.

graduate scholarships

FULL SCHOLARSHIPS (PH.D.)

(General Applicant)

Be a qualified candidate according to the FHT-Ph.D. requirements in Integrated Hospitality and Tourism Management (International Program); or
Be the FHT-Ph.D. grantee in which his/her major thesis advisor is from the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism, Prince of Songkla University (Phuket Campus);
Achieve a minimum total grade point average (GPAX) of 3.50 in his/her master’s degree or equivalent; and
Possess TOEFL 550 or IELTS Band 6.5 or equivalent
(The scores from any English Tests conducted by The Graduate School are not accepted); and
Submit 2,000 words of research proposal (excluding references), which must be related to Research Clusters specified by the Faculty; and
Cannot be a recipient of other scholarships during the study, except if approved by the FHT Research Fund Committee; and
Possess other qualifications as specified by the Program Committee.

The grantee must comply with the following agreements;

Select study plan 1.1 or 2.1; and
Produce research (thesis) which is under the supervision of the thesis advisor; and
Be a research assistant or teaching assistant to the advisor (10 hours a week);
Produce two manuscripts and be published in the international journal (Scopus/ ISI) in which the grantee is the first author, and the advisor is the second author;
Meet the advisor at least twice a month; and
Be a full-time student and do not have a full-time job during the study, except being assigned according to No. 5.3; and
If the grantee is allowed by his/her mother organization to be a full-time student and does not receive any financial support. Then, the tuition fee will be waived, but no monthly stipend provided;
Follow the study plan designated by the Program with none of the registered subjects withdrawn, except if approved by the FHT Research Fund Committee; and
Achieve a minimum total grade point average (GPAX) of 3.50 in every academic semester; and
The thesis advisor signs the research fund contract, and is responsible for supervising and following up on the grantee’s progress in conducting thesis/manuscripts or research; and
Sign the contract with the Faculty according to the designated form; and
Report study/research progress to the FHT Research Fund Committee according to the study plan in every academic semester; and
If the grantee cannot graduate within the timeframe, he/she can extend the study for a maximum of 2 academic semesters, depending on considerations of the Program’s Committee and FHT Research Fund Committee. Any other incurred fees must be borne by the grantee;
In case of the grantee is unable to follow agreement No. 5.1 - 5.13, or breaks the contract, or has no progress in doing the thesis, the Faculty can terminate the scholarship grants. The grantee and/or surety must refund all received grants to the Faculty immediately;
In case of the grant’s suspension/termination, the grantee agrees that the major thesis advisor will have the possessive rights to his/her work(s);
Any cases besides the above mentioned will decided on by the FHT Research Fund Committee’s consideration on case to case basis;
It is effective on the date of signing contract.

FULL / HALF GRANTS FOR ASSISTANT RESEARCHERS (MBA)

(General Applicant)

Be a new student meeting all requirements of the Master of Business Administration Program: Hospitality and Tourism Management (International Program) of the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism.
Achieve a minimum total grade point average (GPAX) of 3.00 in his/her bachelor program.
Achieve 520 TOEFL test score and academic level 6 of IELTS or equivalent (a certificate of English language proficiency issued by the Master of Business Administration Program will not be considered).
Have a 1,000 word-long research proposal from the list of designated research clusters, and. - not receive other funds while studying, unless have obtained permission from the research fund committee, and. - have other qualifications required by the curriculum committee.

A grant holder must:

1. choose the Kor.1 or Kor.2 study plan, and

2. conduct one research study (thesis) based on the thesis advisor's suggestion, and

3. write at least two academic or research articles under the following conditions:

3.1 publish one article (in which the grant holder is the first author, and the thesis advisor is the second author) in an academic journal approved by the curriculum committee, and

3.2 produce one article in a manuscript form (in which the thesis advisor is the first author, and the grant holder is the second author) that the thesis advisor can further develop to be published in national or international research journals, and

3.3 ensure that the thesis advisor must have a minimum of 50% research co- operation in the articles in items 3.1 - 3.2, and.

4. meet the thesis advisor at least twice a month, and

5. be a full-time student*, and

6. ready to work as a teacher assistant or research assistant requested by faculty

7. register in subjects as specified in the curriculum, and must not withdraw any subject unless have obtained permission from the research fund committee, and

8. have a minimum total grade point average (GPAX) of 3.50 in all semesters, and

9. understand that the role of the thesis advisor is to sign a research fund contract, supervise, give advice, and monitor progress of his/her advisee's thesis and academic or research articles, and.

10. co-sign a contract with the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism under faculty’s stated conditions, and

11. report progress every semester, and

12. graduate within the timeframe specified by the Master of Business Administration Program, otherwise the grant holder is allowed to request no Longer than 2 semester extensions, and he/she must be responsible for a fee paid to maintain student status and other expenses.

13. comply with agreements 5.1-5.12, not break the contract, nor fail to report thesis progress, otherwise the faculty can terminate his/her fund, and he/she must be responsible for the tuition fees.

14. allow the thesis advisor to claim rights to the thesis in case of fund suspension /termination.

15. any procedures not stated in this announcement or not stated comprehensively will be at the discretion of the research fund committee.

16. a contract is to be effective from the date the contract is signed by the grant holder.

*The Applicant who applies in Full Grants have to be a full-time student and do not work while studying
